What the studies show
Every claim links to peer-reviewed research. Here's the evidence.
Anti-inflammatory
Documented to inhibit the NF-κB inflammatory pathway; suppresses COX-2, TNF-α, and IL-6. Includes a dedicated analgesic-activity section across animal models.
Energy & anemia
RCT-backed improvement in women with low hemoglobin (8–12 g/dL). Iron, B vitamins, and a complete amino acid profile support natural energy.
Breastfeeding (galactagogue)
2022 double-blind RCT, 88 postpartum women: 47% more breast milk at day 3; 52.3% met the WHO 6-month exclusive breastfeeding target. No adverse effects.
Safety & sourcing
Is it safe? What's the dosing ceiling?
Moringa has a wide therapeutic window — the lethal dose in animal studies is >2,000 mg/kg, orders of magnitude above human daily use (1.2g). Recommended not to exceed 70g/day; we're far below that.
Any warnings?
Not for use during pregnancy — moringa has documented uterine-contraction (abortifacient) potential at high doses. Safe and studied during breastfeeding. Consult your provider if on medication.
